Appetizers are equally as tasty, with options like Shrimp Tempura, Spring Roll, Crab Rangoon, and Edamame.  There's also a nice selection of individual salads and sides, including a Seaweed Salad, Octopus Salad, and Miso Soup.  And we can't forget the sushi!  You'll discover a substantial menu that includes Salmon, Red Tuna, Yellowtail, and so much more.  If you opt for a Blu Dinner Special, you can choose from a list that includes Korean BBQ, a Tuna Tower, and Chicken Yakisoba Noodles.  This is the type of dining you need to experience more than once, so save room in your Branson itinerary for a repeat visit to the fabulous Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi!

"Worst Shogun EVER !!!!"

Bad Service and HORRIBLE food. We complained with manager and he argued with a table of 10 that we did not know what we were taking about. It was shamefull. I doublt they will be open much longer. TERRIBLE

Food quality was great and fresh. Perfectly seasoned. Restaurant lacks energy and had a table cluttered. Overall thought good food and would go back.

This is the second time my wife and I have visited a Shogun. The first time was in Orlando, the second was in Branson. They did a great job overall. When my food arrived there was a misunderstanding of what I ordered, but it was instantly rectified. This is great service in my mind! I will continue to visit Shogun's in the future when I have the opportunity.

As a local businessman, I appreciate when the restaurants in town take care of us; and not just try to hustle us in and out through the door. Shogun has been a favorite for the 2 1/2 years I've lived here. I often bring my family, we nearly always sit at a teppan table to catch the show. We will order sushi first, and then have a teppan dinner from the grill. The decor is appropriate, and the teppan style seating makes it easy to chat with your neighbors; mostly from all over the country! The last time I was there, I enjoyed the NY steak; my daughter had hibachi chicken. The chef did the usual slight of hand, and funny patter while whipping up a splndid meal in just a few minutes. The meat, rice and veggies are always perfect. I have eaten sushi all over the world, and this is very, very good. Will I come here again; "You betcha!" As my northern friend Sarah would say. Shogun Rocks!

"Nasty Sushi"

Reviewed
The first time we ate there we sat at the cooking table. It was entertaining and the food was ok. We went back later and decided to sit at the Sushi bar. BIG MISTAKE. They were rude, took a long time to get our drink orders, the sushi was not fresh. In fact, my wife had to leave 7 out of 8 rolls on her plate. I will never eat there again. Months later we were turned on to the Sushi House across from the Titanic Museum (next to Dominos Pizza) and are so pleased that Branson has at least one really great Sushi Bar!

"Don't eat at the sushi bar!"

Reviewed
I sat at the sushi bar at Shogun this evening and ordered sushi for dinner. The chef behind the sushi counter was incredibly rude and acted annoyed that he had to make sushi for my friend and me. I wanted a to custom order a roll so I picked a roll off of the menu that had the ingredients I wanted and asked the chef to tempura fry it. He responded as if I was stupid. He shook his head at me and asked several condescending questions making it apparent that he thought I didn't understand what I was ordering. I was very offended by his actions and will not eat at Shogun again. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years. On a more positive note, if you are in Branson and want sushi, I would recommend the Sushi House. (I had planned to eat there, but they had run out of sushi rice, which is why I ended up at Shogun in the first place).

"Very good Japanese Steakhouse"

Reviewed
Went to this restaurant tonight because we were close to it and between shows / limited time. I like Japanese steak houses, but often they are expensive. We were greeted with friendliness and throughout the meal the service was very good and friendly. Even as we left we were thanked for coming there. Had shrimp and also vegetable tempura appetizers. Very good, light batter, not greasy, and good portions. (The shrimp tempura also has vegetable tempura with it, didn't know so I ordered both. Should have asked.) The shrimp was large and cooked right. We had the Sukiyaki steak and teriyaki chicken. Both very good. The price was very good for a Japanese steak house. I had a large 20 oz Kirin beer which only cost $6.50. The whole meal was $55. This is low from my experience. Two appetizers, the two meals, and the beer. If you buy the NY strip steak, the price will be higher. Personally I feel that if you want a real, grilled, steak, it should be cooked in one piece, not cut up in pieces as is done in a Japanese steak house. That is why I ordered the Sukiyaki steak and the chicken. The steak was tender and flavorful and was made with thin sliced vegetables. The chicken portion was large and I finished what my partner couldn't finish. I've been to Benihana and others. The food quality was as good or better than any I've gone to and the value was better. I highly recommend this place and will return on another visit to Branson. I didn't mention the show of course. It was not as good as some other places I have been, but still good. You're mainly there for the food anyway, but if you take kids, they should enjoy it. They also have a kids menu.
