"Made from scratch? Not - Home cooking-not"

Nothing but hype. Food was straight from a box or can. I tasted better food at the hospital. We asked for grits. Our waitress she could whip some up right from the microwave. For $3.99 !!!! FOR GRITS? My advice - go on down to Golden Coral

We own a local resort and try out as many restaurants as we can to do a dining recommendation list for our guests and on our website. We tried Granny's because it looked unique. The soups were OK but everything else was so so sub-standard, I've recommended against it. for quality and price, there are better choices everywhere. I was sorry to have wasted $30 for such poor food.

Boy O Boy were we surprised, we read the reviews about Granny's, most were pretty good, some were not so good, my wife & I love good ole home cookin. So we decided to try out Granny's. Well we should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. Maybe it was good at one time. But on 9/21/2010 it was the worst eating experience we have ever had!!! We had the Buffet. All of it was terrible, no flavor, cold, it was obvious the food was old & had been out for some time. The salad bar was old & stale. I told my wife I think Granny must have developed alzheimer's disease & forgot all the good home cookin method's. Not only was the food awful, but both my wife & I developed an upset tummy & diarrhea after eating at Granny's. So my best advice to all, is don't waste your time & money at Grannys. Avoid it like the plaque!!! This place should be shut down!!! Thw waitress was nice The atmosphere was so -so.

We got to Granny's everytime we got to Branson..they have the best dinner buffet of any I've eaten. The ribs, mac & cheese, brown beans and of course, the chocolate gravy are the absolute best around. The staff are always friendly and I always walk out of there stuffed with good food..I highly recommend Granny's restaurant to anyone that loves home cooked food!!

Best food I have had when out recently. Ribs were the best ever, tried them at Rib crib and they did not even compare. They also had great mashed potatoes. The staff was pleasent looking and all smiles. The Buffet was well stocked and more importantly clean, as we also witnessed employees constantly wiping it and making sure all was clean and free of debris. I read some of the bad reviews but from what I understand they are under new management and ownership. A must try if you are going to branson.

Being somewhat local, we come to Branson several times a year and try to eat at a local place. We have been to Grannys more than once and it has allways been good, but this year, the food quality is even better than before. I had the buffet and found it well stocked with the usual fried chicken, meat loaf, ext. But also new items like baked lemon pepper chicken, smoked ribs and the best chicken and dumplins I ever had. I visited with our waitress a bit and she told me they now have a smoker out back and had several new recipies. I will be back here the next time we are in town. My daughter likes the atmosphere of the trendy places on the landing, but even she had to admit that the ribs alone was worth the cost!

We visit Branson regularly as season pass holders for Silver Dollar City & White Water and this was probably the worst experience we have had at a restaurant in Branson. They tout their food to be made from scratch, but the burger was nothing more than a Sam's Club frozen patty. We ordered 2 Velvetta Burgers and a French Dip. When the order came, we received 2 Hamburgers - when we brought this to the waitress' attention, she returned them and when she returned with the "new" sandwiches they were reheated burgers with half-melted cheese and only partially sauteed onions. The French Dip was so greasy you couldn't eat the bun - I picked the meat out and ate it plain. The waitress offered us free pie for our trouble but when stated none of us like pie nothing else was offered. When paying for this disastrous meal, we commented about how bad the food was and again the cashier made no effort to find out why we were unhappy or make any offer to correct the situation. This trip was during our 4th of July holiday and we had many friends in town with us - we made sure to call all of them to tell them how bad the experience was. BTW - even though it was July 4th the restaurant was not busy - that was not an excuse for our experience. I want to make sure other people don't have the same experience we had. This is one place you should cross off your list and not waste your time or money giving them business.

Me and my family went to grannys becasue we were looking for a good home cooked meal well i think they should change that becasue it was not worth it. The waitress was very rude and didnt make a good impression about the resturant. It was so hot in there we were not comfortable at all.. The buffet was so exspensive and not worth it there was barely anything there and it was around 12 dollars and they hardly had anything to choose from on the menu and its a dollar extra if u want a kids menu and are over 12 and u get the same amount we were not satisfied customers.. I DOOOOO NOTTT RECOMMEND IT!!

The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door at Grannys, was that we were not first greeted by a dusty t-shirt / coffee mug gift shop like we was at some other local restaurants. The dining room was clean, well lit,and comfortable. We was able to order off the menu, and encouraged to check out the buffet, we decited to go to the buffet, it was clean, and well stocked. Everything we had was wonderful and tasted home made (not just wormed up) the service was outstanding and friendly. We came back the next morning for breakfast, and again for dinner and was never disappointed.
