Mr. Gilberti's Place

Mr. Gilberti's Place is the place for excellent Italian food in Branson, and they've racked up the TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence to prove it!  The owners have been making incredible Chicago-style pizza and authentic Italian dishes for more than 60 years - more than 15 of them in Hollister, just south of Branson.  Their menu starts with "Beginnings" - featuring tantalizing items like Eggplant Appetizer, Tomato Bread, and Crab Bites. "Horrible service and large gratuity charge"

We made the mistake of coming here again. We had 4 adults and a few kids. We ordered 3 pizzas and water. We got charged almost $20 gratuity that they did not deserve. We had reservations but still had to wait 30 minutes to get the table, then took another 30 minutes to get our drink order. And never got a high chair for the baby. Then took another hour and a half to get the pizza. Waitress was extremely rude. Food wasn't worth the cost or the wait. This place got too popular for it's own good. Used to be a nice place to go but definitely not worth it anymore. I suggest splitting the check up if you have 5 or more people because they add on their own gratuity without telling you. We could have done separate checks and paid a lot less. We recommended this place to a lot of people in the past but definitely won't make that mistake again. Last time our experience was horrible and we thought they were just having a bad night but tonight proved this restaurant has just went downhill and they don't know how to run a business when it gets busy.

I am a major food critic....and this place really is a diamond in a rock. Compared to the other many pizza places in Hollister, Missouri, Mr. Gilberti's Place is so much more authentic and Italian, and delivers immeasurable quality in flavor, texture, freshness and friendliness. If you want something special and not every day....take your loved ones here. It's truly memorable! Whether it is a romantic get-a-way, or a family gathering on Sunday, it is the most upper class dining and sophisticated setting Hollister has to offer. Eat your Authentic Chicago Style Pan Pizza coupled with your favorite House Wine at Mr. Gilberti's Place, off the beaten bath in Hollister, Missouri.
