"Such a disappointment"

Reviewed
We passed up several places to eat breakfast because we liked the baldknobbers show. What a letdown! It took 30 minutes to even give our order. The waitress was literally whining because she was having a bad day. She never came back to our table, but she sure gave good service to 3 men who came in after we did. The hostess finally waited on us. Then it took 30 more minutes. The food was horrible! Hair in the toast, burnt hasbrowns cooked in the pancakes, burnt biscuits, nothing left on buffet, nasty bathroom. Several groups got up and left. One family got up and made their own drinks. Will never go there again! Will tell friends not to go there!

"Nice Hometown/Buffett Kitchen"

We went there two out of three mornings we were there. Always friendly people, very inviting place. Very small town, hole in the wall kind of place. Price was reasonable, if you had your ticket from the show they gave you a discount on your meal.

"Tastes as good as it smells"

Every time I walk in I am greeted with that wonderful smell of home-cooking!!! I enjoy the buffet...all though I eat too much! Service was friendly. May feel a little dated, but good food over-rides that.

Without a dought the worst breakfast buffet i have ever eaten. French toast was dry as a bone. Bacon was way over done. Disnt eat one thing that was fresh. I have been in food service for years and in my kitchen this food wouldn't have made it past the trash can. Wasn't fit to eat. .Waitress was great, but embarrassed.

We went to the Baldknobbers restaurant based on the fact that it was on of the original Branson establishments. I do not believe it has been updated since it was built. The food was OK. The day we were there they did not have a buffet. The service was lacking though. I finally had to hunt our waiter down to get our check. OK but not great.

My sister, husband and I ate Baldknobber Restaurant during our visit to Branson, Missouri, last week. Why we went there in the first place was because of all the restaurant's advertising in all the tourist brochures, saying how good the food was there. Well, we were sure in for a shock!! We declined the buffet because it was so unappetizing to look at, some of the offerings in the steamer trays looked like they were there for a very long time, they were dried out and had cracks in them. So, we decided to order off the menu. My sister ordered a hamburger, I ordered a bacon, lettuce and tomato club sandwich, and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Well, we had to wait soooo long for our order. Finally, we asked one of the waitresses to please go check on our order, She said that we would, but when she did returned, she never even bother to say any thing to us. So, we continued to wait. Finally, we did see our waitress and I told her that we would pay for our drink, that we couldn't wait any longer, and to cancel our order. Well, she went into the kitchen, then told me that our order would be ready in 3 minutes. Well, we continued to wait, probably about another ten minutes or so. Finally, our order came. They bread on my sandwich, toast, was so hard, it was all cracked and broken. Mayonnaise was provided to me on the plate, which I never used. My sandwich was sooooo greasy, I couldnt eat it!!!!!!! My husband ate about half of his chicken fried steak and left the rest. My sister had to take her hamburger with her because there was no time left to eat it. We had tickets to a show. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip to the waitress. The service was poor and the food was poor. This was ranked one of the two worst meals we've had during our visit to Branson. Sincerely

We went in with my sister, who is in a wheelchair, which seemed to cause a problem with seating. They took us all the way to the back and we had to ask several people to move so we could get to the table. The food was high priced and the buffett lacked good food. It wasn't the worst thing we have ever eaten but it definatly isn't the best in Branson. Hopefully it's gotten better since last season.

We had the misfortune of stopping at the Baldknobbers country restaurant for lunch. The sign outside said "breakfast buffet 4.99, Lunch 4.99." We thought we would check it out. There was only 2 other groups of people at the restaurant which should have told us something. We were hungry so we sat down. The waitress said the buffet was 7.99. She did finelly bring me a menu but the cheapest thing was 6.99. We all went ahead and got the buffet. The food was hard and tasted like it had been warmed over all week. We only ate a few bits. Adult drinks are 2.49 and kids are 1.99. It cost us 44.05 to eat there. We had 2 adults and 2 children's buffets which were 5.99 I think. It was a total waste of money. I will never go back!
