Jackie B. Goode's Uptown Cafe & Dinner Theatre in Branson is that rare venue that really has it all...great food, luscious desserts, excellent dinner shows, and a nice line-up of live entertainment provided by seasoned professionals.  On top of all this, it's operated in honor of the owner's brother, an American hero who sacrificed his life in Vietnam while serving his country. Two great dinner shows hold court on the Jackie B. Goode's stage - The Tribute to George Strait Dinner Show in the evening, starring Gordy and Debby - it offers a nice choice for dinner from four tasty entrees.  In the afternoon, a lunch-time show comes from Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel.  If you're only after a really good meal, you can't beat the breakfast buffet at Jackie's, and excellent lunch and dinner selections that include items like Steakburgers, All Beef Hot Dogs, the Triple Decker BLT, a Fish & Chips Basket, Hawaiian Chicken, and and the "Love Me Tenders" deep-fried chicken tenders with savory sides.  Soups, salads, freshly prepared potatoes and veggies, and more ensure you'll have plenty of options for every meal.  And the best features at Jackie B. Goode's Uptown Cafe?  Well that would be the real, old fashioned, soda fountain!  Discover a variety of sundaes, shakes, malts, floats, and more in lots of yummy flavors.  Beer, wine, and pre-mixed drinks are available with lunch, dinner, and the dinner shows, and there's also a special menu for the kids.  Great meals, excellent entertainment, a genuine soda fountain, and enough memorabilia decorating the restaurant to keep you fascinated while your food is being lovingly prepared, it's a full day or evening of mealtime entertainment in Branson, right here at Jackie B. Goode's Uptown Cafe & Dinner Theatre!

"Inconsistent pricin"

Reviewed
We discovered this place in 2018 while on vacation and loved it. This year we returned and was hoping for it to be just as good as we remembered. The service was great the first day. We were there for the breakfast buffet, which was good that day. We had our 5 year old grand daughter with us and were not charged for her buffet, as all she ate was cereal. We did appreciate that! We went back the next evening for dinner,as my husband loves the chicken fried steak there. He said it was good. I ordered a burger and it was disappointing for the price. The kids menu only includes one item, nothing with it. Our grand daughter ordered chicken strips from the kids menu and needed something to go with it. We ask if we could just get a kid sized portion of macaroni and cheese as a side, the guy waiter said no, that we had to purchase another kids meal with that as the choice. We did do this, because she needed something besides chicken. However , we think this is ridiculous that they do this. Being 5, of course, she never ate but maybe 1/4 of the huge portion. Also, our waiter never once came back to check on us during this visit, so no, we did not tip ( we are usually generous tippers). We decided a few days later to try it for breakfast again. The bacon tasted like it had been left over and warmed up. On this visit all that the grand daughter had was cereal again and they charged for the full kids price for the buffet....inconsistent on charging. That was a very expensive bowl of cereal! We do enjoy the talented entertainment at this place, but doubt we will return on future visits.

Food was good. Service was friendly. It was like being in Happy Days. Love it.

"Never got waited on. We got seated and waited 20 minutes."

1st time in Branson. We decided to try this restaurant. We liked what was on the menu. The hostess seated us but a server never came to take our order. There was servers sitting at tables with their electronic devices and eating. Finally we said enough was enough and went to Fuddruckers and had a great meal.

"Great time"

We was there last October 7,2017 for the Gordy and Debbie singers. We enjoy the meal a lot food was great. And the show was super. They came out before they got on stage and talk with the people and then during the break the sold CD and took picture with people and sign them. And at the end the came by the door and thank everyone for coming. That was our 1st time to Branson and plan to come back again in March 2017 and Again in October 2017. Hope to see the show again in October.

OK First we loved Cheryl and is the best server ever. Had so much fun we came back later that day. Too bad it was our last day here or we would have been back many times! We are not related to her nor paid to say this.

"Disappointed"

Reviewed
We were here 2 years ago for lunch and enjoyed it. This trip was just the opposite. The breakfast buffet was nothing more than the breakfast included with most motels now days. $26 for 2 adults and 1 six year old was not acceptable for the quality of food. Also, my husband is not impressed to have to ask for coffee several times before someone brings it.

"Never again!!"

Warning! Staff is very inappropriate! We ate here today and were shocked at the rude and disgusting behavior of the staff. The waitress asked the person behind us if they wanted a male or female brownie. Then clarified... "You know with or without nuts" Obviously this is BAD taste but horrible that my six year old son heard her! Next she followed by leaning her disgusting chest in front of my husband and son and saying "come on dont make me work for my tips. I'll take you out back and press my face against your car window and everything!" It doesn't matter to us that the manager gave us a free meal. That doesn't help that my six yr old witnessed this. WE will NEVER be back!!!!!!!!

"Great Entertainment"

Reviewed
My husband and I went to the Neal McCoy show and while we were there he was brought a shake and bragged on it. We were so intrigued we stopped by to check it out. We did not find a better place to eat breakfast for entertainment, value, service. We also ate lunch a few times and couldn't have found a better place. We have never ate dinner there but that is next of our trip.

This is a little jewel of a place about a block and a half off of the main strip. We ate breakfast there on five mornings. Great value and good selection for such a small cafe. We also ate lunch there one day and had one dinner there. They also provide live music some mornings (Melissa Jean sang so early, and yet she belted out those songs like she was performing a late show on The Grand Ole Opry), some days at lunch (you've got to hear John Sager to believe what an awesome singer he is), and even a live show some nights (A George Strait perspective was playing while we were there but we did not get to see it due to having tickets for other shows the nights we were there). The entertainers were warm, friendly, and offered their CD's at more than reasonable prices. We have some great memories of this trip that will come alive whenever we play Melissa's or John's CD's. The food was good and wholesome and the prices were extremely reasonable. The ENTIRE staff, from manager Dan to the wait staff, to the kitchen staff were amazing. You'd never know they were working at "jobs." They sure know how to make working fun. The city's inspection unit gave Uptown a review as "the cleanest kitchen in Branson." The dining area is even cleaner. We had such a good time whenever we were there. Yes, a "good time" for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If no one is singing when you are there, the wait and management staff stops by and chats. It's a happy, happy place!
