Farmhouse Restaurant

The Farmhouse Restaurant is a Branson institution of the best kind!  Famous for their breakfast, their classic country cooking, and especially for their tasty Blackberry Cobbler, the Farmhouse has been filling the bellies of Branson guests for decades.  You can't go wrong with any meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner - or with any menu item.  Their selection of soups and salads includes a Smoked BBQ Salad and Vegetable Beef Soup, and  their dinner menu offers everything from a 1/2 Chicken to Open Face Beef.  Sandwiches include the Farmburger, Bar-B-Que Pulled Pork, Buffalo Chicken Breast, and a simple, but tasty, Grilled Cheese.  Farmhouse Specialties are often what bring guests back time and again, including their Shrimp Plate, Chicken & Dumplings, Flame-Grilled Pork Chop, and the Whole Catfish Dinner.  Sides include everything from the expected, like Baked Beans, to the "only in the South" options, like Fried Okra.  And for dessert, if you don't opt for the legendary Blackberry Cobbler, give the Apple Maple Pie a try!  Breakfast is equally as delicious, and includes options like Biscuits & Gravy, pancakes, eggs, and lots of sides.  There's also a nice gift shop with items that range from cookbooks to coffees and teas.  For a truly original Ozarks meal, head to Historic Downtown Branson and drop in at the Farmhouse Restaurant, where every meal is like dining with family!

They don't follow the hours on their website. They had the bathroom closed for cleaning while there were still customers there eating. Yuck.

very disappointed ordered ham and cheese omlet ham tasted old husband ordered toast instead of biscuit bread was stale potatoes were like steak fries cut into little pieces and deep fried my biscuit was good and I also ordered a sweet roll which was cold but very tasty

If you love "farm" food, then this is the place. Reminds me of my great-grandma's kitchen. The food is simple, but very delicious. One of our favorites when we are in Branson. Try the cobbler when you're there, it's to die for!!!

My wife and I along with our kids ate there on July 28 and the food service was great and so was the food and it was hot,the price is great and cheaper than any on the strip. I would recommend this place to anyone over any restaurant on the strip I will be going back there again

They are busy because the have great food, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Deserts out of this world. We eat many times each time we go to Branson. Family owned and they sponsor the veterans parade !!!

"A irritable eating experience this time"

We had been to Farmhouse Restaurant previously about 20 times since June 1st, 2011 and the dining experience was good. About the beginning of December, on an evening around 7pm, we came in for a meal and that particular nite, the waitress had a "bug up her butt" and was unfriendly and cold, as was the other waitress, who had waited on us previously. We sent a letter in the mail directed to the Owner/Manager and he/she NEVER bothered to answer it! We'll visit other cafes in the area.

Have driven by this place for YEARS & have seen people waiting outside just to get in. Finally decided to give it a shot, & boy what a surprise! Service was a little slower than other places we've been, but when I come to Branson on vacation, that's not a huge concern. The food was absolutely worth the wait. Keep in mind, this is a small, "mom & pop" type restaurant, which is what we LOVE about Branson. I had Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra. All was very hot & fresh. Wife had tenderloin sandwich, pounded thin "Iowa" style with homemade potato chips. Best she's had. Son had shrimp dinner, said it was very good. Daughter had kids grilled cheese with fries, ate it all & she's picky. Salad bar was small BUT ample with choices. Soup of the day was Bean & Ham, delicious!! Didn't get a chance to try their famous desserts as we were TOO full. But will will certainly be going back. This was a great little place to eat! We would highly recommend trying a LOCAL establishment such as this, you won't be disappointed.
