"Worst experience ever!!"

Reviewed
My husband and i went there for surf and turf buffet over Labor Day weekend and ate, it was the worst experence we had during our trip. The food was not ediable with exception to the salad and the peel and eat shrimp but how hard is it to mess that up!?? And the service was horrible, the buffet was to start at4:00 and was ready at 4:20. So we and 4 other tables waited for 20 minutes with just our drinks, and the waitress was more worried about texting on her phone than waiting on her tables and refilling drinks and removing dirty plates. I will definatlly not return to this establishment or refer it to anyone!

"Delicious fresh food"

Reviewed
I just returned from Branson after spending Memorial Day weekend there with my husband. We went to Dockers for breakfast one morning and it was delicious! The food was very good, hot and fresh and our waitress was very courteous and attentive. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for breakfast the next two days and also twice for dinner. They had a seafood buffet on Friay and Saturday night and it was amazing. Everything on the buffet was hot and fresh and very flavorful. The staff did a great job of keeping the place clean and tables cleared. Everyone smiled and seemed to really enjoy their job. I would highly recommend Dockers...I understand that it is under new ownership...I never ate there when the previous owner had it but the new owner definitely knows what she it is doing!

"NEW OWNER"

Reviewed
I just recently purchased the Dockers Restaurant and hope that anyone that has not had a wonderful experience will please try us again. We have done some changes and we are doing alot of from scratch cooking. I like to take pride in the fact that we are looking to serve good home cooked food with a wonderful dining experience. We have even added a Dinner Show on Thurs, Fri and Sat nites that is sure to be entertaining and a great meal.

"need to be there to rate"

my family has been going to branson for 15 years and the last 10 to Dockers. We have been there when the lines were out the door and around the block, and been there when it is pretty quiet. Generally the food is well worth the money you pay for it. Learned never to go at the end of the nite for a buffet but that is anywhere. My kids love all the choices at breakfast and it is cheaper than McDonalds unless you order value menu....saw revews not so nice but we always go and have had a good experience...Sorry to hear they had closed in July last year but my sister just informed me new owners have it and it's just as good if not better, so we are looking forward to our reunion in Branson this summer and breakfast at Dockers

My family and I decided to eat here on our way out of town yesterday morning for a more substantial breakfast than the one the hotel offered. Going down the buffet line I noticed that the watermelon was rubbery; the pineapple was way underripe; the bananas were way overripe; the eggs were soupy; the home fries were way over-cooked. The only thing that looked appetizing was the biscuits and sausage gravy. I started eating a plate of B&G and noticed that the sausage was just cut-up pieces of pre-formed patties that were also available, and the biscuits weren't much to brag about. They sit coffee cups on your table and if you turn it right-side-up they start pouring coffee, which I didn't realize at the time but wound up costing $2.00. The waiter even started pouring my 9-year-old daughter a cup! Bacon is not on the buffet line and costs $1.00 for a side order. So anyway, we all started feeling sick on the way home, which led to more bathroom stops than usual. I woke up at 2:30 AM, and 3:30 AM with projectile vomiting. The sausage that I had eaten 18 hours earlier had STILL not digested and was making me sicker than I've been in a very long time. Me and father still have diarrhea starting last night and going strong the next morning. The health department really needs to look into this place. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting which usually will tell you something about the kitchen as well. Shut this place down!

The service was pretty good, not a very great atmosphere, just kind of run down by the looks of it. i had the lunch buffet the food was definitely not like it shows in the ads, and really just not very appetizing, food was fairly cold and it might as well not be a buffet cause you dont really even want to go make a second plate. not recomended. but for the price its what you should expect.

We were going to go here for dinner until we called and they said they no longer have a seafood buffet. All the books and items around town said they did. Glad we called first. We went there for breakfast the next day. The buffet was OK, your typical buffest. The fried potato was so greasy we could not eat it. Many of the signs said "humongous buffet"..not really. There were several choices. The fruit was good and the biscuit and gravy, eggs and bacon were good. I had read reviews that the people were not friendly, we DID NOT have this. Our waiter was chipper and they cashier was very nice. She gave us military discount instead of the coupon, she did not have to do that since it was in our favor. The buffet runs $4.99 so you can't expect something spectacular! Good for the price.

There were 3 people in our group. All 3 of us got deathly ill and had to go to a local clinic for a shot because we couldn't stop throwing up. The only food that all 3 of us had in common at Docker's was ice cream from the ice cream machine. It completely ruined our trip and a relative had to fly one way to come and drive us home.

"Disappointed by Reviews"

Reviewed
"What Happened?? I am a 30 year Branson resident - and Dockers use to be great!! Health problems eliminated recent visits for me..........." I wrote the above review and was informed that it wasn't extensive enough to be accepted. What does one say when Dockers once merited the ratings I have given it! The food was well prepared, appealingly presented and delicious and Dockers had the most extensive selection of Breakfasts foods of any place in Branson. The scrambled fresh real eggs were fluffy and moist and the bacon crisp and tasty and all of the fruit was fresh and crisp tender. Ah.. and the Pancakes ...and Biscuits with Sausage Gravy... were more tasty than my own homemade! The service was gracious and accomodating and prices downright inexpensive compared to other local restaurants .... Several Cousins from the east were so impressed that they made it their family's breakfast stop every morning of their 2 week vacation here. And it was always my favorite stop for Prime Rib and all of the trimmings. Baked Potatoes arrived steaming, real butter melted instead of laying there like a greasy lump! And veggies were crisp, not over-cooked! The only bad thing was that... it was so popular one had to stand in long lines to be seated. And personally I have yet to find a great old-fashioned Chicken Fried Steak anywhere..I quit ordering them out... Perhaps someone could overlook these exceptionally bad reviews and give it another try? And please add your review to let me know if it is really as bad as these reviews claim?? I shall hope not!! A friend who loves/loved it is arriving for a visit in September and, my health improving, we plan to, once more, indulge in Docker's delicious cuisine!! Oh, and the atmosphere was "Warm & Homey"... Does that say it all?
