"Casual elegance NOW GONE"

Reviewed
We have dined at this elegant restaurant for years. It was one of the few elegant restaurants on this end of town, and it's nice to have that option on a vacation. We loved the selection of dishes, the quality was excellent especially for the trout, and we always had excellent service. The decoration and atmosphere was tasteful and simple, and it was a pleasure to see Andy Williams gold record collection. Looking forward to our annual visit last month, we were, instead, horrified to see the restaurant was REPLACED with yet another country BBQ/burger restaurant with a 45 minute wait. Nothing wrong with BBQ and burgers and country food, but we will really miss our one elegant night out in Branson.

"It's now Shorty Small's"

Reviewed
The Moon River Grill no longer exists. Andy's family didn't want to run a restaurant so the restaurant is now a Shorty Small's. Haven't eaten there just noticed the change.

"Loved it"

Reviewed
I had the avocado chicken wrap with strawberry salad for lunch. I would love that chicken recipe. There were 5 of us and the experience was delightful for all. Everyone loved the food. I suggest that you try for yourself. I see some disappointing reviews but I have found that reviews don't mean much in some cases. Everyone's taste is different. I thought this was an excellent place to dine. Wish I had time to do the dinner menu. Another fun place I would suggest is Billy Gail's outside Branson just a little ways in an old gas station.

"Awful Food!!!!"

Reviewed
The food at this place was awful!!! My son has food allergies so we are limited to where we can go, but seen an advertisement that they honored food allergies. I called ahead of time (not during lunch/dinner rush)to speak with Manager and verify this or if I needed to bring my sons meal with us...she assured me that they could accomadate us and there was no need to bring anything for him. Once we arrived we soon found out that she apparently had no idea what she was talking about!!! Our waitress was WONDERFUL and worked with us for about 45mins trying to find something that he could have, she was the best part of the experience. My husband's Ozark "pond raised catfish" was not even real catfish....the fillet was about 5"x8" and covered 2/3 of the plate!!! It definetly was not catfish and it tasted like frozen fish stick! The meatloaf was awful!!! The only edible thing we received was the piece of grilled chicken that they fixed special for our son. Do not recommend!

A party of four, three dinners were served, the fourth dinner came 20 minutes later. I had catfish-had to ask for tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was delivered with the late dinner, AFTER I had eaten all my fish. We were not asked if we wanted desert, we had to ask for more water and ice tea. We asked to speak to the manager, who did NOT bother to come out. We were given $3.00 off the late dinner. BIG DEAL. This is a case of a beautiful restarant with such bad service, I would not come there again. The least they could have done is offered the late dinner free, or a free desert. but $3 off was an insult, telling us they did not value our business.

Prior to this visit, I had gone with my fiance to have dessert (which is fantastic by itself). This past time, we went fairly late in the evening and had dinner. I had the chicken pot pie, and my fiance had quail. First thing we noticed was the service. Our server, Brian, was attentive, informative and kind. A heath concern regarding my fiance's extremely low blood sugar was met by Brian's quick response to bring something to the table to help raise it. The rest of the evening was passed pleasantly. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed every bite (including the leftovers that we took home). I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice meal. The cost was very reasonable for the quality and amount that I received. Overall, a fantastic place that I will definitely go to again.

I cannot say one bad thing about the Andy Williams Moon River Grill except that I wish they were open all year long. (Closed during off season as most of Branson is) I have always been greeted with a smile and our servers have always been attentive and informative. We even have had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Williams himself dining with his beautiful wife, Debbie. The food is scrumptious, hands down one of the best places to dine in Branson. Try the Chicken Pot Pie, and make sure you save room for dessert. The carrot cake is INCREDIBLE!!!
