Plaza View Restaurant

The Plaza View Restaurant enjoys one of Branson's most beautiful views!  Perched atop the Grand Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, this casually elegant eatery is known for its signature Prime Rib, exceptionally tender and juicy, and for its Whole Fried Southern-Style Catfish.  But these two entrees alone haven't kept this popular dining spot on the list of Branson favorites -- a diverse menu of comfort foods, hand-crafted burgers, light eating options, and sweet-tooth satisfying desserts keeps both local and visiting regulars returning time and again!  

Plaza View's appetizers include the expected, like a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, the more unique, like savory Southwestern Egg Rolls, and items growing in popularity, like Flash Fried Spinach.  The menu also offers delicious wrap sandwiches, including a Smokehouse Prime Rib Wrap and a Roasted Turkey Ranch Wrap, and Craft Burgers, like the Avocado Burger and the big appetite pleaser, the Grand Plaza Burger.  You'll also discover tasty pizzas that can be created with traditional toppings, like pepperoni and mushroom, as well as those you wouldn't expect, like celery, yellow squash, and caramelized onions - more than 25 toppings from which to choose!  Popular entrees include Fettuccini Alfredo, Ribeye Steak, and Blackened Salmon, with options for side dishes like Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Rice Pilaf.  And the dessert comes highly recommended, with a list that includes the southern favorite, Fried Pie -- choose from coconut, cherry, apple, pecan, or peach.  With an attached lounge offering additional views of the Ozarks' countryside, your Branson dining experience is truly top-notch at the wonderful Plaza View Restaurant!

This was a very pleasant experience throughout. The view is nice, and the atmosphere informal and friendly. We chose the signature Prime Rib. Portions are plentiful and value priced. Dinner entrees included potato, salad, soup and rolls. Being picky, we didn't particularly like having the salad and soup served at the same time. The entertainment was wonderful for those who will enjoy the crossover of '60s/'70s country & easy listening. The bar is adequately stocked for all but the most picky of wine or scotch enthusiasts. The dining hours are a little early based on the assumption that everybody's headed to the music shows. Frankly, we'd have enjoyed the atmosphere of a supper club and stayed for cocktails and dancing. As it was, we were in the unique position of looking for an "after hours joint" by just after 7:00 p.m. We'll be going again ... and we recommend this (if one doesn't mind a too early dinner). It's an affordable, casual and moderately upscale experience.

We go South in the winter and always look forward to "coming home" and being able to eat and take our visiting family and friends to the View restaurant. It is great food, a good value and terrific music by Kenny Parrot. A restaurant Branson should be proud to have!
