Olivia Miller , Florida | Reviewed on August 5, 2010 Every year we have our family reunion in Branson, Mo. This year was a special one because it was my parents 60th anniversary. We wanted a very special place for their suprise party and we definately found it! Donna, who helped us with this party, set us in a private room which was lit with candlelight and had a perfect view of the landing. I had a cake and flowers delivered earlier that day and she set them up beautifully on a corner table with candles around. For a party of 19 everything went without a hitch. Donna and her staff were very friendly and made our parents anniversary a very special one! From our beautiful view to the best food in town-it is a must visit!
Again thank you Donna for making this a very very special night!Last visited in July of 2010 |

John Dover Arkon, Ohio | Reviewed on August 20, 2008 So I travel to Branson a couple of times a year and have ate at the candlestick a number of times. I stopped going last year when the place went south on service and food. It turned into an overpriced, poorly priced restaurant with sub par food. On my last trip I heard from a server at another restaurant that the management and ownership changed, so I gave it another shot. I have dined quite a few major cities ie; Chicago, St. Louis, San Diego, Seattle, etc. and this place is equally as good if not better than any place I have ever dined. Whatever voodoo this new management is practicing it is working. The service is outstanding-knowledgeable, efficient, unobtrusive, and they all seem to work together as a team. The food stands far above anything in the area and competes with the likes only found in big cities. I dined there every night of my trip after going back- 5 times. I can't wait to return to Branson just for the Candlestick.Last visited in July of 2008 |
Nicole Pufall | Reviewed on July 5, 2008 The candlestick has changed quite a bit. Used to really blow my hair back, now it seems as though something changed. Of course the view is fantastic and the service is good... I must be biased because years ago it was so much better. My first visit was back in '02 and it was possibly my best dining experience in Branson. Since then it's gone downhill and i have not even been in over a year because of that. I hear the same from other locals.. too bad.Last visited in January of 2007 |
Marsha Uhl Madison, Indiana | Reviewed on July 4, 2008 This is just an incredible restaurant! The outside is very deceptive as it is an older style building...but the inside is just beautiful. The view is gorgeous with plenty of window and patio seating. Service was some of the best we have had. We had the calamari and avacado salads. My husband also had a tomato based crab soup that was DELICIOUS! Even my 6 year old loved it. I had pan seared scallops and my husband had the ribeye as our entrees. They were both cooked to perfection. We have a 4 year old and 6 year old and they also enjoyed dining here. The children's meals are HUGE! They are adult sized portions so you may want to split them between two kids. Extensive wine selection also. This is a higher end, special occasion restaurant. Comparable in price to Jeff Ruby's. Our whole family loved it and we will definately return!!Last visited in July of 2008 |
Tom Newstead | "You have to go to belive it" Reviewed on July 20, 2007 This restaurant looks like a old house, but once you walk in it's like a whole new world. The food while expensive is worth every penny and I can't tell you how glad I was to eat thier. The food is the very best you can find anywhere!!! Trust me...you'll be glad you did
the service is the greatest, table cloths, glasses, wine, it just is a very great place to eat enjoy the best view i have every seen and get a look at the water show and lights at branson landing!

David Shrum | "Excellent" Reviewed on February 17, 2007 Tonight my wife had the Filet Mignon and i had the Prime Rib. The food, service and atmosphere were awesome. Priced a little high but when you want quality you have to pay for it. The view was awesome, people were friendly. Very cozy and romantic.Last visited in February of 2007 |
Rose Besch | "Great food,Great View" Reviewed on August 5, 2006 Try the entree for 2. Gives you and your partner a taste of 3 of their best dishes. Crab cakes are divine ! I had stuffed lobster with rice pilaf. The others had the filet , salmon and chicken with mushrooms .A great place for a special occasion.High end pricing, but well worth it. Good service and did I mention the view ?Last visited in August of 2006 |
JP Noyes | "Top of the hill - Top of the line!" Reviewed on February 20, 2006 A very nice upscale place that has a view to die for. This is a special occasion, romantic dinner house that will not disappoint you. On a hill across from Branson the view is great and is only surpassed by the food. Try the lobster tails, one broiled the other deep fried! Service is tops. Menu does change so go back once in a while for fun.Last visited in October of 2005 |
