Great Wall Chinese Buffet (SEE Hibachi Grill)

We are new to the area, we have picked up many maps of BRANSON and we checked on the web and they all said that the name of this was Great Wall -----", BUT IT IS NOT THE NAME!! The actual name of this place is "Hibachi -- Buffet", and the food IS NOT GOOD. So next time around we ate at "HONG KONG Buffet", about a block further up and their food was GREAT!! EVERYTHING was very tasty!!

Great Wall is a very good chinese restaurant. Whenever we come to Branson we always eat there. We tried other chinese restaurants and wasn't pleased with the food. The people have always been very nice to us and the food has been excellent. We are planning another trip to Branson and you can be assured we will be there at the Great Wall more than once during our stay for the Autumn Assembly of Prayers 2012.

I do not know why some people can go on this site and say untrue things. My wife and I have been eating here since 2008. The staff is friendly , and yes they speak English as it is my only language , My wife and I are always seeing the staff smiling. The staff has never been rude to us and I have never witnessed any staff there being even close to rude. And my wife and friends visit maybe 4 times a year. And yes we have partaken of carry out, never seen the small carry out containers mentioned by one commentator. But I didn't try to hog any content either. Food is always fresh and tasty, always a clean and well maintained. It is impossible to see a rat trap as Branson Health inspectors does not allow such a thing , be real okay. When I have guest in town this is the best place to patronize and impress , and receive the highest appreciation to bring my guest here.

Food average and the staff extremely RUDE!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

When we are in town (22 miles) for DR apointments or other business like shopping we like to go to this restaurant. It's a great value for the money, great selection, and the best-best-best chinese food we have found outside of Oklahoma and Arizona. This is our favorite place to eat. The food is always fresh and there is a lot of variety to choose from. The service is great too. Lots of fresh Sushi, Desserts, and hot main dishes. Of course don't forget the make- to- order grill. This is a place to go. When the weather is good we will go into town just for the food so we eat here about 15 times a year and have never had a problem. Love it.

Our family has eaten at the Great Wall at least 3 times. I lked it better each time we went. But the last time, was July 4th week 2006. My husband and I decided to get takeout and go watch the fireworks. When we got there, they gave us the smallest takeout boxes I have ever seen. We paid them (which was the same price as if we were going to dine in) and proceeded to fill our boxes. About that time the lady we had just paid came up to my husband and told him that he needed to only have 1/4 of his takeout to contain shrimp. Again, this was the smallest takeout boxes I have ever seen. Needless to say, that didnt set too well with him. My whole complaint is, why set a "rule" like that if we had decided to dine in and get 3 plates of nothing but shrimp. They are coming our ahead if we got the takeout and got what we wanted of the shrimp. Those little boxes could not hold much I promise! I might go back and try them again! But if it is left up to my husband we will never go back and neither will his family of 15 that love to go out to eat all the time!!!

We have been to great wall several times,we love chinese so we gave them several chances.Each time we felt very uncomfortable.Not one person can really speak english and they stand around talking really loud in chinese to each other.They have what seems to be one of there small children who is always running around screaming and roudy.The people there are rude.We found another chinese buffet that someone reccomended to us that I will not metion because I dont want this to be an ad for them.Also I almost forgot the rat trap I saw in the main dining room under the table that seemed to be there catch all table.You better try harder great wall you have competition.

Well, we hate buffets. But we will do Chinese buffets on occassion, especially when forced by lack of a traditional full-service option. And that's how it is in Branson. Great Wall is the best Chinese restaurant in Branson, but that isn't saying a whole lot. The restaurant is usually not terribly clean, appointments are often damaged/worn, and the general atmosphere is hectic. Parking is adequate. Service is always OK, but not good...even for a buffet place. Very little English is spoken here. Occassionally, buffet items are old. You have to time your visits to avoid that. But food quality is generally average to good. Selection is pretty decent, but they do a LOT of chicken and very little beef, pork, or seafood...usually 1-2 beef options, usually no pork, and 1 seafood (in the traditional fare). They also offer non-Chinese items and some desserts and a fruit/salad bar. You CAN order off the menu instead, and we've done that several times. Moo Shu Pork or Chicken is their best offering from the menu. The fortune cookies there contain the lamest fortunes I've ever seen. Not that this really matters. We usually pass on the desserts, salad, and American cuisine. The soups are blah, too. The dumplings and other appetizer type items are actually what they do as well as anything. Highlight entrees are bourbon chicken, cheesy shrimp (not Chinese!), and their beef and onion dish if it is fresh and has any beef in it.

This is the biggest Chinese buffet I have ever seen. Shrimp 10 ways, chicken 15 ways, soups, won ton to die, egg rolls, more stuff than you can think of. Price is right and easy parking off of 76.
