Food was awful pan fried potatoes burnt to a crisp, over rated. My husband did not enjoy his food. Upon commenting on the potatoes, waiter stated "that is just the way they are cooked" did not offer to re-cook them. Who does that? Very disappointed did not wait around for dessert!

The atmosphere is fabulous whether eating inside or out on the deck on Lake Taneycomo!!! We eat there often since we're somewhat local (kimberling area) and I'm in love with their coconut shrimp. Normally I don't like cornbread, but theirs is fantastic!

We live in Phoenix and stumbled into The White River Fish House while on a vacation in Branson about three years ago. We were surprised when we discovered it's the same restaurant we have in Mesa, AZ only it's called Islamorada Fish Company and it's located inside Bass Pro. We missed the Bimini bread, but corn bread is probably more appropriate for this Ozark location. I ordered salmon, and it was cooked perfectly. Our server was speedy, friendly and helpful. I was experiencing low blood sugar symptoms and she was so thoughtful and brought corn bread immediately. It was like being home in familiar surroundings, only better, because this location on the water is the best. It's awesome. We've enjoyed our dining experience in all the Bass Pro restaurants we have visited, but this one in Branson is my favorite because of the location. We plan to be back next month, October/2013. Thank you for your attention to details and quality customer service.

We went here for a birthday dinner after seeing the reviews. The food is awesome along with the views. I had panfried trout and the others had mahi mahi with crab. I wished we lived in the area just to eat here more often. Need to put one of these restaurants in the Clarksville IN store.

My parents took us out for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had heard this was a good place to eat but we were pleasantly surprised at just how wonderful everything was. Walking in you see all of the rustic decor-which I love. Service was great. Our waitress was on the ball with refills of drinks and cornbread. When we placed our order she said that the salmon is cooked medium and asked if that was how we wanted it. Everything was delicious. Dad had the clam chowder and we all shared parmesan crusted mushrooms and deep fried crawfish. I am very much looking forward to our next visit. We visited January 15, 2012.

After reading the reviews here, we decided to go for our 39th wedding anniversary. I have mobility problems and walking from the parking lot is impossible. I called ahead and we were given directions to drive down by their entrance and my husband was able to drop me off and go back and park in the lot. We were seated immediately, even though this was a Friday late afternoon/early evening. We were seated right near the entrance at a table that gave me room to store my walker out of the way, which I really appreciated. I ordered clam chowder and the Shrimp Penne Pasta. My husband had the combination of Catfish Etoufee and Fried Crawfish. We also ordered the alligator tail appetizer. The alligator was too spicy for my taste, but then I really can't eat spicy foods. It did have a good flavor, and my husband certainly found it delicious! The chowder was served in a small cauldron, which held more than it looked like it would, and was out of this world! My Shrimp and Penne Pasta was also absolutely delicious! My husband still hasn't stopped raving about the Blackened Catfish Etoufee. The crawfish with it was a bit spicy, but not as much so as the alligator tail. My husband ordered blackberry cobbler for dessert. It came in a miniature cast iron skillet and was enough for two people. I ordered the Key Lime Pie which was served in a large mug rather than the traditional slice. It was absolutely home made and out of this world! The prices were very reasonable and we feel we got more than our money's worth. I neglected to get our waiter's name, but he was extremely pleasant and most attentive. We loved the old boathouse decorations and atmosphere, and the fact that the tables and booths are not real close together, helping to prevent a cramped feeling like you get in some establishments. As we live in the area, we will most definitely return again and again.
